Because of this, many computer-related business enterprises are submitting their applications to become Dell's authorized reseller, considering the demand of the market for Dell products and the profit to be yielded from such reselling. Dell is very particular with the reselling company's ability to efficiently carry out product demonstrations, and pre-purchase and post-purchase technical support.

Like other computer companies, Dell requires the authorized reselling company to have at least one technician who have undergone Dell's comprehensive hardware and software training. The reselling company should also secure itself with a million dollar comprehensive insurance policy.

What makes Dell admirable is its care for its business partners, particularly its powerful sales force. Information wise, the authorized reseller of Dell products is obligated to disclose to Dell the consumers who bought their products and all necessary information about them. This disclosure might be frowned upon, but what is good in this set-up is that Dell will be directly responsible for any warranty repairs of the product, even if the authorized reseller legally owns it. In terms of product delivery, Dell also assists its authorized resellers by providing them service of good shipping companies to ensure that the products are sent with utmost care. This is why in the contract, any damage or loss in a shipping transaction from a shipping company not recognized by Dell will be shouldered by the authorized reseller.
